Seventeen-year-old Allison Gray has the power to resurrect the dead through illustration. The catch? Something dark and sinister might also creep through the magic if her artwork isn’t precise. That’s why she’s sworn off using her abilities ever since everything went wrong five years prior: Not only did she accidentally raise a monster from the dead, but her father left because of it.
Now, she may have done it again.
After her crush is implicated in the fatal car accident of his new girlfriend, Ally breaks her own rule to protect him. But what appears to be a successful resurrection soon leads to a string of mangled bodies in the forest. As Ally attempts to track down the murderous entity, she finds her annoyingly handsome friend turned enemy, Liam Holloway, at the scene of each crime. His rich, reclusive family seems to know something about why her father really vanished. But the closer she gets to the terrifying truth of it all, the more personal the kills become, and she’ll have to stop whatever is stalking her small coastal town before it comes for her.
